COURSE DESCRIPTION
Southern Medical & Technical College Healthcare Assisting course is designed as a programme of preparatory study to enter a Diploma course in Nursing. This qualification will allow you to apply for training positions in General Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Intellectual Disability Nursing and Children's Nursing. During this course you will develop practical skills and qualities that will equip you for further studies in nursing and future employment. You will attend classes and clinical attachment. Your work placement in a healthcare setting enables you to get practical experience to compliment your studies.
