Elimys is an education discovery platform that helps students, parents, and applicants find and explore learning institutions in one place. The platform allows schools, colleges, TVETs, universities, and other training providers to showcase their profiles, courses, intakes, vacancies, tenders, scholarships, and online application opportunities.
We are looking for a driven Business Development Executive – Education Partnerships to help us onboard learning institutions and grow our network across Kenya.
Role Overview
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying, approaching, and onboarding learning institutions onto the Elimys platform. This role involves visiting institutions, speaking with decision-makers, explaining the value of Elimys, collecting institution details, and following up until the institution profile is fully active.
The ideal candidate is confident, persuasive, organized, and comfortable dealing with school administrators, principals, directors, registrars, and institution owners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and approach schools, colleges, TVETs, universities, training centers, and other learning institutions.
- Introduce Elimys and clearly explain how institutions benefit from being listed on the platform.
- Build and maintain relationships with institution decision-makers.
- Collect accurate institution details, contacts, logos, photos, course/intake information, and other required profile data.
- Support institutions during onboarding and ensure their profiles are completed and published.
- Book demos, follow-up meetings, and calls with interested institutions.
- Track leads, follow-ups, onboarding status, and conversion progress.
- Provide daily or weekly reports on institutions contacted, meetings held, profiles created, and pending follow-ups.
- Gather feedback from institutions and report common questions, objections, and feature requests.
- Represent Elimys professionally in all field visits, calls, emails, and meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales, business development, field marketing, customer acquisition, or partnerships.
- Experience working with schools, colleges, universities, training institutions, or education-related businesses is an added advantage.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Confidence in approaching new institutions and speaking with decision-makers.
- Ability to explain digital products in a simple and practical way.
- Good organization and follow-up discipline.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Honest, reliable, and results-oriented.
