. Department of Theatre & Performing Arts
This programme focuses on live performing arts, stage presence, dramatic interpretation, and the physical and creative performance skills required for both theatre and screen. At Nayolites Computer and Media College, learners are trained to develop confidence, discipline, creativity, and professional performance techniques that can be applied across stage productions, television, film, and other forms of visual entertainment. The Certificate in Theatre and Film Arts provides a dual-focus curriculum that combines stage acting with cinematic performance. Students learn acting techniques, character interpretation, emotional expression, body movement, camera awareness, audition techniques, and performance discipline, enabling them to transition effectively between theatrical and film environments. Stage Directing and Performance Coaching equips learners with practical skills in voice projection, character development, improvisation, blocking, stage movement, rehearsal management, and theatrical staging. Students are guided on how to work with actors, interpret scripts, develop performances, and create compelling theatrical experiences for audiences. Script-to-Stage Adaptation introduces learners to the process of transforming written dramatic concepts, stories, and synopses into live theatrical productions and television adaptations. Students learn how to interpret dramatic material, develop scenes, structure performances, and adapt stories while maintaining their central themes, characters, and intended messages.
