HOD: FALARY
Designed for the fast-paced world of television broadcasting, live digital streaming, and modern multi-platform journalism, this programme at Nayolites Computer and Media College equips learners with practical skills for working in television, radio, online media, digital broadcasting, and live production environments. The Broadcast Journalism and News Anchoring component focuses on professional voice training, effective communication, screen presence, script reading, interviewing techniques, news gathering, and field reporting. Students develop the confidence and presentation skills required to work as news anchors, reporters, presenters, and media correspondents. The programme also provides practical training in Virtual Studio Operations, where learners gain experience in setting up and managing modern live broadcast systems and virtual studio environments. Students are introduced to professional broadcasting workflows, including the use of vMix for live production, switching, graphics, streaming, and management of virtual studio sets. Podcast Production and Digital Media training enables students to develop, produce, host, record, edit, and distribute engaging digital programmes. Learners explore the production of political, social, cultural, educational, and community-based talk shows, podcasts, interviews, and other forms of digital content. The training prepares students to take advantage of modern digital platforms and develop innovative media productions that connect with audiences locally, nationally, and internationally.
