Types of accounts on Elimys

Last updated 30 Aug 2026

Elimys has three main account types: Guest, Tutor, and Institution.

Guest account

A Guest account is the standard account for anyone using Elimys.

It can be created by learners, students, applicants, parents, guardians, or anyone who wants to explore and apply for education and learning opportunities.

With a Guest account, you can manage your details, submit applications where available, and track application updates.

You can also browse many parts of Elimys without an account, but creating a Guest account is required when you need to take actions such as applying.

Tutor account

A Tutor account is for tutors, trainers, instructors, and individuals who offer academic or non-academic learning services.

To create a Tutor account, you must first create a Guest account. You can then create and manage your tutor profile from your Elimys account.

A Tutor account lets you showcase the subjects or skills you teach, your teaching options and locations, and receive learner applications where available.

Institution account

An Institution account is for learning institutions and organisations that want to create and manage their presence on Elimys.

This includes schools, colleges, universities, TVETs, training centres, tutoring organisations, scholarship providers, online learning platforms, professional bodies, NGOs, foundations, companies, government agencies, and similar organisations.

To create an Institution account, you must first create a Guest account. You can then create an institution profile and manage its information, courses, programmes, intakes, opportunities, and applications where available.
